Revd.Canon Sharon has held a varied ministry, with one aspect in all “the ministry of presence”.

Her current role is Head of Chaplaincy Services at St Nicholas Hospice Care, Bury St Edmunds, having been a Chaplain at the hospice since July 2015.  She is also an Honorary Canon at St Edmundsbury Cathedral (since 2020).

During her career, both in the UK and in Germany, Revd. Canon Sharon has held various roles including Deputy Head of the Multi- Faith Chaplaincy Team Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust; Assistant Priest at St Dunstan’s Stepney, as well as providing ministry at the Royal London Hospital.  She was Assistant Curate at St John of Jerusalem, South Hackney and Assistant Chaplain at St Joseph’s Hospice in Hackney.  Sharon has also been a Youth and Community Worker at All Saints, Poplar.

Sharon spent some time in Germany, where she was Centre Evangelist, British Army of the Rhine in Hameln and in Osnabruck.

Sharon has a BA in Theology in Ministry: MTh in Chaplaincy Studies “October 2011

Her many interests include travel and enjoying the company of friends and anything that involves laughter, fun and friendship.
