Paul Copan is the Pledger Family Chair of Philosophy and Ethics at Palm Beach Atlantic University (West Palm Beach, Florida).  He earned a doctorate in philosophy at Marquette University. The author or editor of thirty books, including Creation out of Nothing: A Biblical, Philosophical, and Scientific Exploration (Baker Academic/Apollos); The Kalām Cosmological Argument: Criticisms and Defenses (Bloomsbury, forthcoming); The Rationality of Theism (Routledge); The Routledge Companion to Philosophy of Religion (Routledge); Philosophy of Religion: Classic and Contemporary Issues (Blackwell); and The Dictionary of Christianity and Science (Zondervan, forthcoming).  He has contributed chapters to numerous books and has written many articles for peer-reviewed journals. He and his wife Jacqueline have six children and live in West Palm Beach, Florida.
