Dr Jonathan Chaplin is Director of the Kirby Laing Institute for Christian Ethics, based at Tyndale House, and a Member of the Cambridge University Divinity Faculty. He was Associate Professor of Political Theory at the Institute for Christian Studies, Toronto from 1999-2006, and is a Senior
Fellow of the Cardus Institute, Hamilton, Ontario.
He has edited or co-edited four books, including Political Theory and Christian Vision (1994) and A Royal Priesthood: Using the Bible Ethically and Politically (2002). He has published many articles on Christian social and political thought. His recent publications include ‘Legal Monism and Religious Pluralism: Rowan Williams on Religion, Loyalty and Law,’ in International Journal of Public Theology (2008) and Talking God: The Legitimacy of Religious Public Reasoning (Theos 2009).
