The Faraday Institute is delighted to congratulate Professor Sir Colin Humphreys, a member of the Institute’s Board of Trustees and one of our regular speakers, on the award of a 2021 Queen’s Medal of the Royal Society.
The award is for excelling in basic and applied science, university-industry collaboration, technology development and transfer, academic leadership, promotion of public understanding of science, and advising on science to public bodies.
The Royal Medals were founded by King George IV in 1825 and Sir Colin joins numerous renowned previous winners, including Michael Faraday who won the prize in 1835 and 1846.
